Hare Brewery Visitor Experience

Enlightened was delighted to be approached by the brilliant Bath Ales to provide installation of specialist lighting, audio and video systems, as part of a customer experience tour of their Hare House brewery site.

This brilliant local company has been brewing fine local ales since 1995. The quality of its ales has seen the company’s output grow exponentially. Popularity and demand saw them move from their enthusiastic beginnings in their founding Wincanton site to new larger premises and home, ‘Hare House’ in Warmley Bristol in 2012.

In 2016 St Austell Brewery recognised the companies talent and acquired Bath Ales making a multi-million investment in their Brewhouse with a view to increasing their output by double.

Built at their existing headquarters in Warmley the new ‘Hare Brewery’ held its grand opening on May 15th with over 500 guests showing their admiration for the sophisticated new equipment to the four-vessel brewery, installed by Internationally-renowned Musk Engineering Ltd.

Hare Brewery will also be opening their doors for public tours of the brewhouse and approached Enlightened to provide installation of PA and audiovisual equipment, including a display screen - Philips 55" Direct LED Ambilight Display and wireless media playback that will allow them to augment the visitor experience by showing aspects of the brewing process along with design and installation of the new Brewhouse equipment.

Darren James, senior brewer, who has been at Bath Ales for over 15 years, says: “Opening Hare Brewery, which we’ve built from the ground up, is a very exciting moment for everyone involved.”

“Extra capacity means more beer for Bath Ales’ drinkers including our flagship ale Gem. And we’ve already started brewing a wider range of beer styles on the new equipment including Sulis, our first lager.

“We’re quite literally opening the doors to the brewhouse in that beer fans will be able to see it for themselves – we’ll be holding regular brewery tours which means that people can see our new kit and visit our taproom to taste our beers at their freshest.”

We also upgraded the PA to both the video viewing room and tasting bar area with APart Mask series ultra-compact systems comprising of APart Mask series compact speakers, subwoofers and satellite speakers driven by 2 super silent convection cooled 120w amplifiers.
