What is a Hybrid Event?

Hybrid events are not a new concept to Enlightened, it is just that there is now a more recognised name for them.

A Hybrid Event is an event where we combine both physical and digital interaction into a single event. These are also sometimes called “Virtual Events” using “Virtual Venues”. This can be anything from a panel discussion with some or all members connecting via video conferencing services such as Zoom, Google Meet or Teams or a full conference with keynote speakers and breakout rooms. It could also be a product launch, awards show or ceremony.

Bath and Bristol have many wonderful venues that are great to work in and provide fantastic facilities to clients.  We have made the conscious decision not to create a ‘studio’ in our Headquarters or warehouse as we would prefer to support and work with our clients and regular venues who have the space and welfare facilities that will make an event comfortable and safe - even in these uncertain times.

There are many benefits of merging both physical and digital solutions. Not only can events be run in full accordance to current and changing distancing rules, it allows the integration of pre-recorded content, presentations or segments, while allowing live Q&A as an example.

There are endless possibilities to include on-site locations, roving reporters, live interviews.

The output stream can, as required, be broadcast around the world, whether via dedicated platforms and websites or via YouTube or Facebook Live, with or without security or logon credentials or passwords.
