Enlightened were delighted to support ‘The Pheztival’ by donating a contribution of full production lighting for this brilliant, vital and worthy event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Pheztival, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, is the longest running live music festival in Newport. For over a decade, the event has grown in popularity and gone from a 1 day extravaganza to a 2-day musical marathon of outstanding local, national and international talent.

Event organiser Ade Morris said, “Every year, the response just blows me away! I can’t thank people enough for offering their talent, time, and services for such an amazing event and worthy cause!”.

Ade added, “Despite all the hard work, it is a job I undertake with love and pride. I have a real passion to ensure it is a fantastic event for all ages, creating a platform for acts old and new, covers and originals, to stand up for something worth standing up for; to a packed out crowd that appreciates not only their performance, but also their effort to travel here and give their time for free - acts and organisers alike!”.

The family friendly event is held annually across the August Bank Holiday weekend that is entirely free for everyone to enjoy any donations to Macmillan being gratefully received and entirely on a voluntary basis. The generosity over the years has been very humbling, and tens of thousands of pounds have been raised for this worthy cause that affects so many. This year the amount of acts that have wished to participate was overwhelming, with over 400 acts hoping to get one of the 14 slots available during the popular weekend of live music.
